i giorni del miele: Europe’s Largest Honey Exhibition in Lazise

Official opening today at 5:30 p.m. of the exhibition-market «i giorni del miele» (The Days of Honey), considered the largest quality honey exhibition not only in Italy but in Europe. The event, now in its 22nd edition, traditionally represents the international gathering of Italian beekeeping and offers one of the most comprehensive showcases of high-quality honey production from various Italian regions, as well as some European countries and, for the first time, from Africa.

On a 4,000-square-meter area, over 100 different honey productions are showcased, featuring a variety of monofloral and multifloral types: from the most common like acacia, millefiori, and chestnut, to niche honeys associated with localized productions, such as asphodel, citrus, oak, and cherry blossom honey.

Over twenty years of dedication have transformed Lazise’s periodic gathering of beekeepers into the largest national showcase with European significance of beekeeping, closely linked to agriculture as well.

The event, spanning three days, is an opportunity for extensive discussion not only among operators but also with sector companies, scholars, and researchers of worldwide level. Besides the large market dedicated to hive products, in their culinary, cosmetic, and therapeutic uses, «i giorni del miele» also provides an opportunity for professional development for the over ten thousand beekeepers who traditionally attend the Garda event.
