Immersive Zanzanù Performance at Montecastello Sanctuary Set for May 2026
A immersive theatre show about the bandit Zanzanù will be staged at the Montecastello Sanctuary by the company L’Archibugio. The production reworks the 2017 script created for the same site, intertwining historical sources, oral tradition, and dramatic narration, and takes place in the sanctuary which houses a 17th-century ex voto linked to one of the tale’s most significant episodes.
Three performances are planned for May 2, 2026, at 5:00 PM, 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM, with a maximum of 50 spectators per show. A shuttle service to and from the sanctuary is provided, and reservations are mandatory.
