This morning, in the Massadrino area of **Desenzano del Garda**, the canine unit of the lower Garda civil protection section was officially inaugurated. This new team, composed of four specially trained dogs for search and rescue operations, represents a significant advancement in emergency response capabilities in the area.

The canine unit will work in synergy with trained volunteers to optimize the effectiveness of operations. During the inauguration, a practical demonstration of search techniques was presented, focusing on locating missing persons due to various circumstances, including those related to natural disasters.

### A Well-Structured Team

Currently, the lower Garda civil protection section has 125 active members and has recently welcomed two new members. The primary objective of the canine unit is to support first responders, such as firefighters, police, the Guardia di Finanza, and carabinieri, when additional efforts are needed to address critical situations.

Luca Trincia, president of the lower Garda civil protection section, expressed great satisfaction with this new development. In recent years, the section has invested in numerous facilities dedicated to rescue and emergency operations.

### Advanced Technologies for Safety

A distinctive feature of the canine unit will be its ability to integrate the skills of the dogs with those of the volunteers through the use of sophisticated GPS monitoring systems and radio communications. These technologies will allow for precise mapping of intervention sites, thereby ensuring effective coordination during field operations.

With this new initiative, **Desenzano del Garda** confirms its status as a pivotal point in the regional civil protection network, further enhancing its preparedness to face emergencies and ensure the safety of its citizens.
