A serious accident occurred yesterday, November 1st, on the Zebra Plates in the Dro area, where a 40-year-old foreign climber fell approximately 8 meters. The woman was climbing the Rita route when she missed a hold, sustaining serious injuries to her head and back upon impact with the rocks below.
The alarm was raised at 12:40 PM by a witness who saw the incident, prompting an immediate response from the air rescue service and the Alpine and Speleological Rescue team from the Riva del Garda station. Despite her severe injuries, the climber remained conscious and was reached by an air rescue technician for recovery and urgent transport to Santa Chiara Hospital in Trento, classified as a red code case.
