An innovative project has taken shape in Salò, where the Canottieri Garda Salò has partnered with the Fobap Anffas foundation to promote psychomotricity and inclusive sports. In recent months, the Tennis Center of Canottieri has hosted boys and girls with disabilities, offering a series of sessions aimed at introducing them to tennis. Under the guidance of technical director Eugenio Knerich and coaches Gianluca Candeli, Mattia Capelloni, and Martina Briarava, the project has engaged around fifteen young participants at each of the twenty meetings held since last autumn.
The president of Canottieri, Nicola Benedetti, emphasized the significance of this initiative in fostering the psychological and physical well-being and autonomy of those involved. The synergy between the two organizations will continue with future events, such as the Triathlon Future Stars scheduled for September 6 in Toscolano Maderno, where the young people supported by the foundation will actively participate in the organization. This project is part of a broader effort to promote inclusive sports in Italy, where an increasing number of associations are dedicated to breaking down barriers in the sporting world.
