A recent inspection of the Ciclovia took place, with the presence of the mayor, councilors, and municipal councilors, along with the president of the Province and the extraordinary commissioner for the project. During the inspection, the technical details of the project were explained, focusing on the different construction phases of the existing and new tunnels.

One of the innovations concerns the creation of a section for the passage of emergency vehicles and the external masking of the structure, which will blend in with the color of the surrounding rocks. Furthermore, both the existing and new tunnels will be adorned with artistic decorations designed by architect Ferrari.

The current situation of the Ciclovia on the Trentino side is as follows:

– Functional Unit 1.2: Ponale Underpass-Orione Gallery. The total cost of the works is 9.6 million euros, with completion scheduled for July 2025. Currently, works worth 2.8 million euros are underway. This intervention will allow access to Sperone Beach and the Ponale path through the connection with the fortification complex “Tagliata del Ponale.”

– Functional Unit 2: Orione Gallery-Ponale Mouth. The expected cost of the works is 10.3 million euros, with completion scheduled for August 2026. It is currently in the design phase.

– Functional Unit 3.1: Lombardy border-Limniadi Gallery. The expected cost of the works is 2.6 million euros, with completion scheduled for September 2024. The works have just begun.

– Functional Unit 3.2: Limniadi Gallery-Gola. The expected cost of the works is 7 million euros, with completion scheduled for March 2026. The works are currently being awarded.

– Functional Unit 3.3: Gola-Titani Gallery. The expected cost of the works is 5.8 million euros, with completion scheduled for February 2026. In this case as well, the works are being awarded.

– Functional Unit 3.4: Titani Gallery-Ponale Mouth. The expected cost of the works is 24 million euros, with completion scheduled for December 2026. Currently, the executive project is being prepared.

– Functional Unit 3.5 (additional functional unit): securing the rock walls along the entire stretch of Functional Unit 3. The expected cost of the works is 5.3 million euros, with completion scheduled for November 2025. In this case as well, the executive project is being prepared.

– Functional Unit 18: Torbole Center-Riva del Garda. The works are in progress, with completion scheduled for June 2026. The total cost of the works is 4.2 million euros, of which 3.5 million euros are financed by the Pnrr funds.

– Functional Unit 19: Torbole-Nago. In this case as well, the works are in progress, with completion scheduled for December 2025. The total cost of the works is 3.9 million euros, of which 3.5 million euros are financed by the Pnrr funds.

The total cost of the part entrusted to the extraordinary commissioner for the west bank amounts to 61.7 million euros, which rises to 69 million euros when considering the parts already completed. These amounts should be added to the costs of Functional Units 18 and 19.

As for the part directly under the responsibility of the provincial structures, the technical-economic feasibility project (Pfte) was completed in 2021. Furthermore, the works related to Functional Unit 1.3 (consolidation of the walls of the Ponale Underpass-Orione Gallery) and Functional Unit 1.1 (Riva del Garda-Ponale Underpass section) have been completed. For Functional Unit 1.2, the subject of the inspection, the final and executive design was completed in 2023.
