During the weekend of the May 1st bridge, intense joint checks took place in the main tourist areas of the Lake Garda, culminating in the arrest of a 35-year-old man at the entrance of Gardaland. The individual was found in possession of a butterfly knife hidden under his clothing, and following the discovery of the weapon, he was reported for illegal carrying of weapons or objects capable of causing harm. This operation is part of a broader strategy to ensure security in Lake Garda, coordinated by the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Security.
Throughout the weekend, law enforcement agencies, including the State Police, Carabinieri, and Guardia di Finanza, identified over 700 individuals between Castelnuovo del Garda and Peschiera. Tourist areas such as Lido Pioppi and Lido Campanello were under special surveillance to prevent illegal activities. Inspections also revealed violations of the Highway Code and irregularities in accommodation facilities, contributing to maintaining high safety standards for visitors.
