International Riva & Ferrari Owners Event Wraps Up With Awards and Solidarity
With the presentation of plaques and recognitions, yesterday, Sunday, the «Symbol&Symbol» event concluded, marking the first edition of «International Meeting Riva & Ferrari Owners».
On stage, after the concert by «The Beatops» and the maneuvers of the «Learjet 35» from Aliven, the closing ceremony took place, featuring greetings and customary speeches.
«One of the most beautiful events I have seen across Italy,» emphasized Luca Matteoni, president of Ferrari Club d’Italia. He was the architect and supporter at Casa Maranello of the decision to make (completely exceptional) the invitation of the legendary, admired, and photographed «F399» of Schumacher.
«I’ve never sold so many rolls of film as I did on Saturday,» reported photographer Rampani.
Participants and special awards
From Sarnico, the boatyard Riva sent the head of public relations, Paola Ciribilli, and the president of the Riva Historial Society, Piero Gibellini.
It was this latter who awarded trophies from Riva House, one of which «is the second time in our club’s history that it has been awarded to a female shipyard owner, German».
The mayor, Anelli, in his address, after thanking the organizers represented by Curzio Moretti and his collaborators «for this beautiful and incomparable event, truly the event of the year», stated that «certainly, this will not be a sporadic and isolated edition, but one that should continue in the years to come».
Of course, the interest in the High-Speed Unit of the 6th Wing of Ghedi, which under the portico of Palazzo Todeschini offered a flying exhibition, was not missing.
Moments of solidarity
Furthermore, solidarity found an exciting moment at the Sigurtà Garden Park in Valeggio, through a live auction of authentic items provided by the parent companies Riva and Ferrari. Items included plaques, keys, rivets, logos, a camshaft, etc., belonging to motorboats owned by famous personalities like King Hussein.
The 5 million euros collected were handed over to the president of Amffas of Desenzano, Fiorenzo Bertolinelli. Incidentally, he participated as the auctioneer for the occasion.
