Irma Giovanazzi Celebrates Birthday with Mayor in Bolognano
Irma Giovanazzi celebrated her 100th birthday on December 22 with a party at La Colombera restaurant, surrounded by family and friends. Born in Bolognano in 1925, she received a visit from Mayor Alessio Zanoni, who presented her with flowers and a congratulatory card. In good spirits, Irma shared memories of her long life, which has been marked by significant historical events, including World War II.
Growing up in a working-class family, Irma faced many challenges from a young age, managing the household and contributing to the family economy during wartime. After marrying Patrizio Comai in 1947, she worked both in factories and on farms. Her son Italo described her as a strong and independent woman who continues to live comfortably in her family home. During the celebrations, the mayor wished Irma health and happiness, expressing hope to celebrate with her again next year.
