Italian Icons Showcase: Riva, Ferrari, Tornado Jets at Garda Event
Three symbols of our Made in Italy, namely the Riva motorboats (the mahogany ones sold even to the Shāh of Persia or Arab sheikhs), the dazzling Ferrari, and the Tornado jets, the pride of our Aeronautics, will parade in water, on land, and in the sky this coming weekend.
With one variation. Instead of jets, our Air Force will send models, and some aircraft from a private company will fly in the sky, while giant screens set up in the historic center of Sirmione and Desenzano will display videos from the Ministry of Defense.
For the rest, Riva and Ferrari will be on display for three days. The event, presented at Vecchia Lugana in Sirmione, was conceived and organized by a well-known entrepreneur in the nautical sector, Curzio Moretti.
Organization and objectives of the event
After successfully securing several sponsors and two Municipalities – those of Sirmione and Desenzano – Moretti has truly launched a challenge: to showcase three jewels of Italian ingenuity and perfection.
Because even the Tornado jets are not only born from industrial cooperation between Italy, France, and Germany, but primarily from Fiat. Starting Friday evening, “Symbol & Symbol“, as the Garda event is called, will see over forty Riva motorboats and sixty Ferraris arriving from all over Italy on Lake Garda’s southern shore.
The preview will take place at the Sesto Senso Club in Desenzano, with Alba Parietti acting as godmother and host.
Then, on Saturday morning, a gathering in the center of the Old Port of Desenzano, followed by the departure of boats and Ferraris towards Sirmione, where, in front of the Scaliger Castle, there will be an symbolic embrace with tourists.
In the evening, a glamorous gala at the exclusive Parco Sigurtà in Valeggio sul Mincio.
Finally, on Sunday the 23rd, another gathering in Desenzano. It’s almost certain that “Symbol & Symbol” will return in the coming years. At least, that’s the commitment made by the organizers. And for Lake Garda, it would be a refined opportunity.
