Italian Red Cross to Launch New Ambulance in Castiglionese Rescue Team

On Friday, September 15th, the National President of the Italian Red Cross, Maria Pia Garavaglia, will inaugurate the new ambulance donated by the Cariplo Foundation to the Castiglionese rescue team.

The vehicle handover ceremony will take place at 7 PM at the headquarters on via Groppi, in the Campasso area, and alongside Honorary Garavaglia, there will be the mayors of the district served by the Castiglionese Red Cross, which provides various transportation and emergency services.

Emergency Service in Castel Goffredo

An important service that has been undertaken by the CRI Aloisiana for some time is also the 118 emergency response in Castel Goffredo: during the weekend, a group of men and women from the Red Cross are stationed in the city of the sock industry for urgent rescue missions, since, after the hospital’s closure, there had been no emergency unit for years.

Moreover, it is precisely between Friday and Sunday that the highest number of fatal accidents occurs, primarily involving young drivers.

Activities During Holidays

During holidays, the CRI personnel handle various transports to and from hospitals or for sick or injured individuals requiring medical transfers, not forgetting their presence at events and for emergencies.

With this donation, the Red Cross vehicles on via Groppi increase to 12, including 4 ambulances.
