Italy’s 26th Dog Show Breaks Records with 488 Entries
Exactly 488 dogs presented by breeders and private owners from all over Italy and neighboring Switzerland participated on Sunday in the Lido park and in the Pavillion at the twenty-sixth edition of the national dog show, organized by the Gruppo cinofilo trentino. The event surpassed all previous records, confirming the increasing success of a competition that found a favorable environment in Riva for continuous growth.
The presence of Hans Wiblishauser, worldwide president of the Club dei dobermann, on the jury, drew a massive participation of animals of this breed: a total of 62 were showcased—more or less tripling the usual breed presence, which rarely exceeds twenty entries.
Thousands of visitors crowded the park and pavilion, enjoying the working performances of the border collie and the fashion shows for selecting the «best in show».
Awards and Winners of the Event
The titles of the most beautiful dogs present at the twenty-sixth exhibition were awarded among pairs to Cavalier and King Charles Spaniel from the breeding establishment of the Civilerghe Realm (Bs), and for singles to Lakeland Terrier Over the Top of Benaco from the Benaco di Vignola breeding. Other winners included Lo Pitz Nano (a German Valley Terrier), Prime Time Have in May Way from breeder Mc Intire, and Terranova Main Tickle in Happared One Night by Viviana Vergeria from Strigno.
