Josia Stoll Completes 465-Kilometer Trek from the Black Forest to the lake in a Pedal-Powered Car
Josia Stoll completed a 465-kilometer journey from the Black Forest to the shores of a lake, traveling in a pedal-powered car built from old bicycle parts, crossing Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Italy, with almost 4,000 meters of elevation gain, accompanied by his Bernese Mountain Dog, Cookie.
The total load—including the vehicle, trailer, tent and gear—exceeded 230 kilograms. The route featured steep climbs, stretches pushed by hand, and rain. Stoll documented the trip on social media with photos and updates, and upon reaching the lake’s shore in recent weeks he said the project was a childhood dream and aimed to prove travel is possible with whatever is at hand.
