Jubilee of Consecration: the Church of San Michele in Rivoltella
The Church of San Michele in Rivoltella del Garda is preparing to celebrate the Jubilee of Consecration on Sunday, September 28, in an event marking the 25th anniversary of the building’s inauguration, which took place on Christmas in 1999. The ceremony, presided over by Bishop Monsignor Domenico Pompili, will begin at 7 PM with the holy Mass and the rite of dedication. Prior to the event, at 6:30 PM, there will be musical entertainment in the churchyard provided by the Philharmonic Society of Desenzano.
This moment represents not only a liturgical formality but also a renewed commitment from the parish community to live out their faith. Pastor Don Alberto Giusti emphasizes the importance of transforming the building into a sacred place of worship through the anointing of the altar and the walls, accompanied by the deposition of relics of the saints. The maintenance work carried out in recent months has contributed to giving the church a refreshed and welcoming appearance, making this jubilee an opportunity to reaffirm the vibrant presence of the community.
