Lake Ferry Disruptions Persist Amid Highway Closures in Limone and Riva

It’s certainly the time for ferries. Stranded on the high lake to restore service along the southern coast of Limone and towards Campione are experiencing an unexpected winter period that no one could have imagined months ago. The repeated disruptions of the Gardesana highway are forcing many people to make the crossing from Limone to Riva del Garda by boat.

Routes and Current Issues

Another classic route is the Maderno-Torri del Benaco line. Many frequently choose the Navigarda services. Even in these days, during which problems caused by the closure of the highway between Gargnano and Riva are compounded by the “Expo Riva Hotel” event, a naval vessel encountered an incident yesterday morning.

The ferry “Regina del Garda“, which operates between Maderno and Torri del Garda, had to suspend its departures at 9:20 AM and 11:00 AM due to lake conditions, turning back and returning to Maderno until the waves became less dangerous.

Immediately, calls were made to Limone, to Anas, and to Navigarda to check the opening hours of the road and ferry services to Riva. However, by mid-morning, the Gardesana was closed at three points.
