Lake Garda Events, 12-15 October 2026: This Week's Highlights

Events on Lake Garda from Monday 12 to Thursday 15 October 2026 range from international youth football in Sirmione to an olive oil tasting in Brenzone, and a talk with geopolitical analyst Dario Fabbri in Montichiari. Along the way there is a job-interview day in Desenzano and the restart of an Italian course for foreigners in Salò.

Monday 12 October

The week opens in Sirmione with the Verona Cup, an international football tournament for under-17 and under-15 teams. It takes over the Lugana sports centre, on Via Leonardo da Vinci, until Wednesday 14 October.

Tuesday 13 October

At the Employment Centre in Desenzano, from 9:30 a.m., the Talent Day brings candidates and local companies together for free job interviews. Online registration is required. Employers are looking for production workers, welders, maintenance technicians, CAD designers and administrative staff, among others.

The same morning, the free Italian course for foreigners, promoted by the municipality and Caritas, starts again in Salò. Lessons take place on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the library at Via Marco Leonesio 4, and continue until May 2027.

In the afternoon, from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., Sirmione’s municipal library hosts the Club del Gomitolo, a crochet group led by experienced makers and open to complete beginners. Those who already crochet should bring their own hook and yarn.

Wednesday 14 October

In Castelletto di Brenzone, at 11 a.m., the Oleificio Piccoli Produttori offers an extra virgin olive oil tasting lasting an hour and a half, with one part on olive growing and one on tasting. It costs 18 euros per person and bookings are made at the Brenzone IAT tourist office.

Thursday 15 October

Thursday afternoon in Sirmione is for the youngest. From 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. the municipal library hosts the Sirmione Book Club Kids, the children’s monthly reading group, with a session titled “Attenti alle storie!” (“Mind the stories!”).

At 6 p.m., at the Hotel Catullo in Piazza Flaminia, photographer Alessio Cupelli, a participant in the Sirmione Photo Residency 2026, presents his project As if I Belonged in conversation with journalist Francesca Roman. Admission is free with booking.

At 8:30 p.m. the Logos festival brings Dario Fabbri to Montichiari in conversation with Marco Togni. Because of the high number of bookings, the event has moved from the Teatro Bonoris to the Gardaforum of Bcc Garda, at Via Trieste 62. Admission is free and booking is recommended.

Ongoing

Until 24 October, the Fondazione Cominelli in San Felice del Benaco hosts the group exhibition “Fuck War”, curated by Michele Serini. Twenty-eight contemporary artists explore war and the value of peace.
