The Lake Garda 42 marathon, organized by FILA and held on April 6, saw German runners Tobias Beibl and Stefanie Hansen triumph in the classic 42 km distance. Approximately 5,000 runners participated in the event, which started in Limone sul Garda and finished in Malcesine for the marathon, while the half marathon began in Arco di Trento. Beibl crossed the finish line in 2:38’16”, followed by Matteo Vecchietti and Luca Vivaldi, while Hansen completed the race in 3:03:44, outpacing Lithuanian twins Monika Bytautienė and Milda Eimontė.
In the LG21 half marathon, Tom Förster set a new record with a time of 1:08’16”, confirming his championship title for the second consecutive year, while Alessia Scaini won among the women with a time of 1:20’38”, also setting a record for the event. The gathering brought together participants from over 80 countries, turning the weekend into a true celebration of running around Lake Garda.
