They impersonate carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurateurs around Lake Garda’s middle and upper areas, offering subscriptions to military magazines.

They are not military personnel but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance authorities, police, firefighters, or municipal officers.
