Lake Navigation and Gender Violence: Support for the number 1522

Boats and ferries also support the anti-violence helpline 1522. Luciano Scarpetta from Navigazione Laghi has announced the organization’s commitment to the fight against gender violence, in anticipation of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, which is observed on November 25. Among the planned initiatives, there will be a awareness campaign directed at passengers and staff, featuring messages of support for the anti-violence and stalking helpline 1522. The terminals and offices will be illuminated in red, while the boats and ferries will display commemorative banners and posters dedicated to the victims. Pietro Marrapodi, the government manager of Navigazione Laghi, emphasized the importance of ensuring easy access to the helpline 1522 within the public transport context. To further promote this cause, an informational spot will be created alongside the distribution of postcards at ticket offices. Additionally, red ribbon pins will be available to wear in support of the #stopviolenza message against violence towards women. These actions highlight the commitment of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport to essential social issues. Italian Version
