A landslide in Navazzo di Gargnano has led to the closure of the municipal road, isolating the communities of Liano, Briano, Formaga, and Costa. The event occurred during the night between Saturday and Sunday, when a section of approximately 50 meters detached, covering the roadway with soil, debris, and trees. The area, already prone to landslides, triggered the landslide alert for Lake Garda, but fortunately, no injuries have been reported.
Local authorities, including law enforcement and civil protection technicians, responded promptly to assess the situation. The operations for clearing the road and restoring traffic are scheduled for Monday, March 17.
