Landslide in Navazzo di Gargnano: the municipal road reopened with alternating one-way traffic. After five days of isolation for the hillside hamlets of Liano, Formaga, Costa, and Briano, the municipal road leading from the Navazzo junction to these areas was reopened around 7:00 PM today, March 20. Traffic now flows in alternating one direction, thanks to the installation of a traffic light, allowing residents to once again use the main route towards the lakefront after facing inconveniences caused by landslides that occurred on Sunday morning.
This situation has also posed challenges for the new five-star resort Strobhlof, scheduled to open on March 29. The opening date had already been postponed from March 19 to the end of the month to complete final works, and the unforeseen circumstances related to the landslide may further impact the timeline for the opening.
