TREMOSINE: ROCKFALL ALONG THE GARDESANA, ALTERNATING ONE-WAY TRAFFIC IN PLACE. In recent hours, significant traffic disruptions have been reported along the Brescia side of Lake Garda, particularly on the Western Gardesana in the municipality of Tremosine. On Wednesday afternoon, around 4:00 PM, a rockfall occurred on the lakeside slope, leading to the collapse of a rockfall barrier and the subsequent sliding of earth and stones onto the roadway of State Road 45bis, just beyond the Campione tunnel and near the intersection with the provincial road to Forra.
While waiting for the necessary interventions to secure the area and restore the containment structures, traffic is currently being managed by a traffic light that allows for alternating passage of vehicles heading towards Salò. The traffic, already heavy during this summer period, is experiencing significant delays and reported queues in both directions.
