Lautari Marks 30 Years of Sport and Recovery at the Life Olympics, Tackling Addiction

The “Olimpiadi della Vita” will take place from August 10 to 20 in the Lautari Community in Pozzolengo, at Borgo La Caccia, for the 30th edition of the event focused on recovery from addiction through sport. Around 300 young participants from Lautari communities in Pozzolengo, Bedizzole, Como, Pordenone, Rome and Florence are scheduled to compete in football, volleyball, padel, billiards, cycling, swimming, athletics and marathons of 21 and 32 kilometres.

Presented at Palazzo Broletto and supported by the Province of Brescia and the Municipality of Pozzolengo, the programme also includes shows and evening events alongside the competitions. For the Lautari Community, sport is part of the educational and rehabilitation pathway, aimed at strengthening discipline, self-confidence and healthy social comparison. The chosen theme is the Greek motto “gnōthi seautón” (“know yourself”); winners in the disciplines will be able to take part in the Marrakech Marathon.
