Lazise Alpini Celebrate Sanctuary Flooring and Gagliardetto Dedication

Black Penne in celebration next Sunday. The Lazise group, after the great success of the event presenting Vittorio Bozzini’s book “Neve Rossa,” returns to the spotlight with the traditional spring sectional festival. And this year, it has a flavor that is far from ordinary, certainly special. There are two main reasons behind this: firstly, the formal delivery of the new floor of the sanctuary of the parish church of San Martino to the parish priest and the community.

Secondly, the group will receive the new gagliardetto (standard) to replace the current one, which is now worn out and battered by time and the “battles” that the Alpini have carried out over many years. “It is a great satisfaction for all of us to officially ‘deliver’ the amount needed for the flooring of the church’s sanctuary to the parish community and to parish priest Don Edoardo Sacchella, albeit symbolically,” declares the emotional president of Penni nere Carlo Parolini, “the sum necessary for the sanctuary’s flooring.”

Program of the day

The flooring work has already been carried out by the company Lavelli Francesco, and we are proud to settle the bill. It is a tangible and lasting sign that the Alpini are and will always be ready to give, on any occasion, what they can for the people and the institutions. Here is the schedule for Sunday: at 10 AM, gathering of the Alpini of Lazise and the groups from the lower lake with their respective gagliardetti.

A procession through the streets of the town with the notes of the Castelnuovo del Garda brass band. By 11 AM, a mass is scheduled, along with the presentation of the funds for the flooring and the blessing of the new gagliardetto, offered by a local family. After the sacred rite, another procession to the monument to the fallen, located at the old port.
