Lazise Inaugurates New Senior Center with Community Celebration

“I hope you spend more time here than at the clinic.” With these brief but meaningful words, the mayor Luca Sebastiano greeted the elderly residents of Lazise and cut the ribbon for the inauguration of the renovated senior center on Corso Cangrande.

Don Edoardo Sacchella, parish priest of Lazise, blessed the premises, notably commenting on the liturgy specific to household blessings and encouraging friends of the third age to consider the place as a point of reference for all the elderly in the town.

Thanks and Participation

The head of the association, Renato Rama, moved and proud, primarily wished to thank the municipal administration for their active commitment to the world of the elderly and all the volunteers who contributed their work free of charge for the restoration of the center.

A special thanks was directed to the technicians, Mario Munari and Lino Rama, who offered their professional services entirely free of charge and carefully and promptly oversaw all the work carried out by the company Aleandro De Carli of Lazise.

The Ceremony and Community Participation

The courtyard of the nursing home, where the senior center is located, was filled with citizens of Lazise, Colà, and Pacengo, representatives of local associations, and many guests who wished to attend the heartfelt and lively ceremony.

Representing the municipal administration were the councilors Renzo Francheschini and Fabio Marinoni, as well as municipal councilor Sergio Menini.

Alongside don Edoardo Sacchella, don Nicola Azzali, emeritus parish priest of Malcesine and a native of Lazise, also participated in the blessing ritual.
