Lazise Man Resists Breathalyzer and Attacks Police During Check

During a routine patrol in Lazise on March 18, Carabinieri responded to a traffic incident involving a 60-year-old man known to authorities. The suspect refused an alcohol test and resisted arrest, assaulting officers during the intervention, which led to his detention.

The man was taken to the Peschiera del Garda Carabinieri station, where he was formally arrested for resisting and insulting public officials. The Verona Prosecutor’s Office was notified; the arrest was validated by a Verona judge, with the trial scheduled for June 2026.
