Lemon and the historic lemon grove win the Travellers’ Choice Award
The recognition on Tripadvisor is a global triumph for the seventeenth-century lemon house at the Castèl di Limone, which has recently won the prestigious “Travellers’ Choice Award,” placing it among the top 10% of the most appreciated destinations in the world. This significant award, received on September 23, celebrates twenty years of restoration and enhancement of the lemon house by the municipal administration, transforming it into a key tourist and cultural landmark. The facility, with its 1,633 square meters in the historic center, continues to attract visitors thanks to its rich offering of citrus fruits and an educational museum that enriches the experience. The mayor of Limone, Franceschino Risatti, expressed great enthusiasm for this achievement, emphasizing the importance of positive visitor reviews in securing the award. Over the past season, the lemon house welcomed as many as 212,000 visitors, with expectations for an increase this year as well, thanks to events like “Limonaia sotto le stelle,” which offers evening guided tours accompanied by baroque classical music and traditional tastings. This recognition not only highlights the beauty of the historic lemon house but also the ongoing commitment to promoting the local heritage. Italian Version
