Limone sul Garda has implemented a ban on outdoor alcohol consumption through an ordinance signed by Mayor Franceschino Risatti, which is effective throughout the municipal territory until November 1st. This measure prohibits the possession and consumption of alcoholic beverages in any public area, including streets, squares, and gardens, both during the day and at night. The only exceptions apply to events organized by the municipality. The primary aim of this ordinance is to promote sustainable tourism, preventing incidents of degradation and ensuring greater tranquility for residents and visitors alike.
Furthermore, retailers are not allowed to sell take-away alcohol unless it is packaged in airtight or sealed containers. This measure seeks to reduce the problem of littering with empty containers in public areas, thereby helping to maintain order and cleanliness in the town. With this initiative, Limone sul Garda aims to strengthen its image as a tourist destination that is attentive to quality of life and the surrounding environment.
