In recent years, the trend of spending vacations in small towns has gained increasing popularity, and Italy offers a variety of fascinating places to explore. Recently, Limone sul Garda was ranked 16th in the list of the 30 most searched small towns in Italy for 2025, compiled by Holidu, while Ponte di Legno came in at 24th. This ranking highlights how locations with fewer than 5,000 inhabitants can attract a growing number of visitors.
Lombardy stands out as the region with the highest number of representatives in this ranking, featuring six locations, including Limone sul Garda and Ponte di Legno. At the top of the list is Maratea, followed by Favignana, Positano, and Amalfi. New entries such as Castel Sant’Angelo and Varenna demonstrate that even lesser-known destinations are gaining interest in the landscape of tourism in Italy, confirming the appeal of small towns at the heart of Italian vacations.
