Limone sul Garda stands out this summer with the awarding of the Orange Flag, a prestigious recognition from the Italian Touring Club that celebrates excellent villages in the inland areas, characterized by a population of fewer than 15,000 inhabitants. This award, which highlights the quality of the tourism offering, hospitality, and enhancement of local heritage, coincides with the recognition of the Purple Flag, dedicated to municipalities that promote accessible tourism for people with disabilities. Mayor Franceschino Risatti expressed pride in this achievement, emphasizing the collective commitment of the community to enhance the territory.
Only 8% of the candidate municipalities receive the Orange Flag, following a rigorous assessment based on over 250 evaluation criteria. Limone sul Garda is among the five new certified villages in Italy, alongside Ardesio (BG), Diano Castello (IM), Montalto delle Marche (AP), and Bassano in Taverina (VT). With this recognition, Limone not only positions itself as one of the most virtuous villages in Italy but also helps to strengthen the image of the Brescia Riviera as an authentic and welcoming destination, attentive to the enhancement of its heritage.
