Libera and Partners Host Citizenship Education Training in Castiglione
Libera, the association presided over by don Ciotti, in collaboration with the Scuola di formazione operatori della giustizia minorile (Training School for Juvenile Justice Operators) and Forma Mentis, a non-profit organization aimed at preventing youth distress, is organizing a training course on Saturday the 21st and Sunday the 22nd at Villa Brescianelli for promoters of educational paths on citizenship education.
Planned interventions and scheduled activities
Among the planned interventions are those of Giuseppe Centomani, director of the Training School of the Ministero della Giustizia, Jole Garuti, the reference for Lombardy for Libera, and Giuseppe Rossi, a sociology of deviance expert, as well as teachers who have been on the front lines of legality education for years.
In the afternoon, there will be in-depth sessions through group work. The goal is to equip participants with the skills to develop and implement projects on citizenship, legality, and democracy education, utilizing all available resources, tools, and didactic experiences.
Don Ciotti’s speech and community involvement
It is don Ciotti himself, late Sunday morning, who will speak in Castiglione on the theme “For a school and society of rights and values”.
Given the many requests received, the Lombardy representative for Libera, Jole Garuti, decided not to confine don Ciotti’s words only to course participants but to open the event to the entire community. His speech is scheduled for 11 a.m.
