From August 10 to 20, **Pozzolengo** will host the **29th edition of the Life Olympics**, an event that will involve over **400 young people** in a series of sports competitions aimed at combating **addictions**. Organized by the Lautari Solidarity Cooperative, the Olympics will see boys and girls from various Lautari locations—including Pozzolengo, Bedizzole, Como, Pordenone, Rome, and Florence—competing in tournaments of soccer, marathon running, long jump, padel, volleyball, and relay races. The competitions will take place amidst the vineyards of the Borgo La Caccia estate, a symbolic location for recovery and rebirth.
The initiative is not just a sporting event; it also represents an opportunity for participants to regain motivation and hope. Andrea Bonomelli, president of Lautari, emphasizes the importance of sport as a tool for inclusion and personal growth. At the conclusion of the event, a final day is planned with shows and evening events to celebrate each individual story of redemption. The winners will receive a special prize: tickets to participate in the marathons in Tokyo and Paris, symbolizing a journey that extends beyond the physical finish line.
