Lifeguard Saves Two Children in Distress at Desenzanino in Desenzano
A lifeguard in Desenzano del Garda saved two children in difficulty in the waters of the Desenzanino on Sunday afternoon. Maurizio Antonelli noticed two siblings, aged 8 and 10, drifting away from the shore on a small raft; the younger child fell into the water and began struggling.
Antonelli reached them by jet ski, pulled the child out of the water, and brought both back to shore, where they reunited with their mother. The incident was reported to the coast guard, and the lifeguard had already intervened at the end of June to help another young person in distress in the same stretch of lake.
