Hoteliers in Limone are non-negotiable: they insist on the opening of the road at the windows and full opening during the Easter week. Having adopted a hard stance, they have moved to action. First, a statement from the president of Riviera dei Limoni, Chicco Risatti, in which they announce that if their demands are not met, the following protest actions will be taken: abstaining from voting on May 13; substantial reduction of hotel staff; freezing all supplies from Trentino; “assignment to our legal firm for any appropriate actions to protect our interests and safeguard against any losses”; protests at Trento, at the Province, as well as in Riva, Torbole, and Arco.

Then, faxes are sent to suppliers. Gentilini cites one in which the hotel XY states that if guarantees regarding transit along the old road are not obtained by March 31, all orders are to be considered canceled: even travelers can refrain from going to Limone, because supplies will be made from the south, passing over the landslide. Faxes of the same tone are also beginning to arrive to artisans from Alto Garda engaged in hotels in Limone.
