Limone Thanks Trento for Resolving Gardesana Landslide Risk

Limone once again thanks the province of Trento for the way the problem of the western Gardesana has been addressed. Mayor Giovan Battista Martinelli agrees that on the Brescia side of Garda, there is satisfaction that by the end of July, it will finally be possible to erase a nightmare forever.

The certainty of being able to rely on links that no landslide will threaten again is immediately translated into a guarantee for the coming seasons by the operators of the lemon Riviera. Alongside the gratitude, Martinelli opens a small window of hope.

Situation and Perspectives

While it is agreed that the unprotectiveness of the road prompted the decision to build the tunnel so quickly, the mayor of Limone believes that not all is yet lost regarding the possibility of opening a few windows for private transit around Easter.

“I haven’t received promises in this regard,” admits Martinelli; “but if the technicians could find a minimum of safety and the legal experts could come up with a formula for sharing responsibilities…”
