Limonesi Tourism Operators Threaten Legal Action Over Ferry Signage
After threats, the Limonesi tourism operators are taking action. Just hours ago, a registered letter was sent by the Rovereto-based lawyer Silvio Malossini, who is representing the «Riviera dei Limoni» association, chaired by Franceschino «Chicco» Risatti, to the municipality of Riva and the Province of Trento.
In the letter, the lawyer requests that the municipality of Riva «promptly install informational road signs about the existence of the Riva-Limone ferry service, indicating the departure points and schedules». If not, the Riviera dei Limoni will turn to «the competent judicial authorities to seek damages».
Threats of legal actions and future concerns
But that’s not all. Risatti also anticipates bold initiatives. The first targets Trentino suppliers. «It’s likely – Risatti reveals – that in the coming days, orders of goods will be canceled: we will turn to other wholesalers.» Perhaps this will lead to even greater damage assessments in Trentino as well. Within just a few days, already «50 buses have been canceled»: just imagine what will happen in a few weeks, during Easter.
To confirm the concerns of Brescia-based tourism operators, the data provided by the Rivano municipal councilor Ivo Gentilini indicates that, even now, a drop in attendance of 40-45 percent during the upcoming Easter holidays is foreseeable.
«I assure you – Risatti’s final declaration – that we will not give up and will find a way to resolve this situation: prepare yourselves».
