The Leone di Lonato recently hosted an unusual event that attracted a large influx of visitors interested in purchasing mystery boxes sold by weight. From Tuesday until the closing yesterday, the Brescia shopping center saw long lines of people ready to pay between 20 and 27 euros per kilogram for boxes packaged by King Colis, a French group specializing in the resale of undelivered parcels to their rightful owners, many of which originated from Amazon.
The temporary sales area operated with controlled access, allowing customers to shake the boxes or squeeze the soft bags to get an idea of their contents before making a purchase. Among the attendees were curious locals from Alto Mantovano and Bassa Bresciana, as well as tourists, including a German couple on vacation who had already experienced this type of shopping in their home country. The curiosity surrounding this purchasing method continues to grow, making the sale of mystery boxes an increasingly popular phenomenon.
