Local checks in Desenzano del Garda: labor irregularities discovered

On Tuesday, August 26, law enforcement agencies conducted local checks in public establishments in Desenzano del Garda and Sirmione, focusing on compliance with labor regulations. During the operation, irregularities were found in a venue in Sirmione, where the Guardia di Finanza discovered two workers employed without a regular contract, resulting in the issuance of administrative fines. In another establishment in Desenzano, a 16-year-old minor was found working as a bartender, also without a contract.

The owner of the establishment in Desenzano was fined over 6,000 euros for failing to report the establishment of the employment relationship and for employing a minor without the necessary medical examination. Additionally, criminal sanctions were imposed for not informing the young worker and his parents about the obligations set forth by the Consolidated Law on Health and Safety at Work. These operations are part of a broader plan aimed at ensuring legality and safety in public spaces, with particular attention to protecting workers’ rights.
