Lombardy Allocates 16 Million Euros to Boost Valsabbia and Upper Garda Development

Lombardy has approved a €16 million territorial development plan for the Valle Sabbia and Alto Garda Brescia regions, aimed at combating depopulation and enhancing services, employment, tourism, and social inclusion across 28 municipalities. Led by the Valle Sabbia Mountain Community, the project is part of the regional “Agenda of Counter-Exodus” strategy for 2021-2027.

The plan allocates funds for improving social and healthcare infrastructure, including upgrades to emergency services and schools, as well as cultural and tourism projects such as restoring historic sites and developing a cycling trail. Additional investments target local businesses, digital transformation, and territorial governance, with regional councilor Claudia Carzeri emphasizing its significance for community strengthening and economic growth.
