Lombardy Allocates €510,000 for Wildlife Conservation in 2026

Lombardy allocates €510,000 in 2026 to support wildlife rescue centers and local authorities. The regional government approved the funding, with €370,000 designated for the care and rescue of injured or distressed wild animals and €140,000 for fauna management activities.

Funds will benefit authorized rescue centers and local administrations across Lombardy. Regional Greenery and Land Use Councillor Gianluca Comazzi highlighted that the centers recover, treat, and reintroduce animals into their natural habitat when possible, with resources supporting operators and volunteers involved in these efforts.
