The presentation of the Lombardy Region Pavilion for Vinitaly 2025 took place at Palazzo Lombardia, with the participation of Governor Attilio Fontana and Agriculture Councillor Alessandro Beduschi. During the event, the positive results of Lombardy wines were highlighted, with exports nearly doubling over the last 15 years, increasing from 176 million euros in 2009 to over 312 million in 2024. Despite the climatic challenges faced during the 2024 harvest, production reached 935,000 hectoliters, confirming a high percentage of quality-designated wines.
Fontana emphasized that the region’s wine heritage represents an excellence tied to the diversity of Lombardy’s territories, while Beduschi underscored the economic significance of the nearly 3,000 businesses active in the wine sector. With over 150 producers present at Vinitaly and around a thousand labels available for tasting, the Lombardy pavilion is set to be an international showcase to enhance local products and further promote growth in foreign markets.
