Lombardy’s Agricultural Credit: Finlombarda Unveils Più Credito to Back Farm Businesses
Più Credito – Agricoltura, a new financial product launched by Finlombarda for Regione Lombardia, allocates 25 million euros from the regional budget and can mobilize up to an additional 25 million euros from the banking system to improve access to credit for Lombardy’s agricultural enterprises. The scheme will offer ordinary or mortgage loans, in co-participation with partner intermediaries, ranging from 70,000 to 15 million euros for productive investments (including green projects and technological innovation) and for seasonal working capital for purchases such as seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, feeds, and operating costs aligned with production cycles.
Agriculture Commissioner Alessandro Beduschi said the program aims to make financial resources more accessible with a clear use for investments. Finlombarda President Andrea Mascetti linked the initiative to the Agrifood Basket Bond program to support companies; terms and participation modalities for businesses and intermediaries will be defined in upcoming notices to be published.
