Lonato: Work Resumes on the Roundabout at Via Campagna. Starting Monday, May 12, construction will begin on a new roundabout at the intersection of Via Campagna Sotto and SP668 Lenese, an area known for its danger and history of serious accidents. This project, resulting from the collaboration between the Municipality of Lonato del Garda and the Province of Brescia, aims to enhance road safety and streamline traffic by eliminating left turns at the entry points. The work, temporarily suspended during the intervention at the San Zeno tunnel, is expected to be completed by October 2025, with a total investment of €750,000.
During the construction period, which will last until June 13, Via Campagna Sotto will be closed to traffic in both directions. Mayor Roberto Tardani emphasized the importance of this project in ensuring greater road safety at a crucial junction in the local traffic network. The Province is working collaboratively with neighboring municipalities to address traffic issues in the Garda area and further improve public transportation.
