The winner of the Strega Prize 2025 will be announced on July 6 in the Gardens of the Casa del Podestà in Lonato del Garda, during an event scheduled for 9:30 PM with free admission until seats are filled. Now in its fourth consecutive year, this initiative will feature a dialogue between the awarded author and Giovanni Sciola, director of the residency projects for authors promoted by the Ugo Da Como Foundation. The official award ceremony will take place on the first Thursday of July at the National Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia in Rome.
The finalists for the 2025 edition were announced on June 4 and include names such as Andrea Bajani, Paolo Nori, and Elisabetta Rasy. Bajani’s novel “L’anniversario” has already won the Strega Giovani Prize 2025, receiving wide acclaim from the jury composed of students. The evening is organized in collaboration with the Maria and Goffredo Bellonci Foundation and the direction of the Strega Prize, highlighting the importance of cultural events in promoting local literature.
