Lonato del Garda Launches Revamp of Esenta Historic Center

Lonato del Garda’s local government has unveiled redevelopment plans for Esenta’s historic center, focusing on the church square and adjacent streets. The project aims to transform the current parking area into a public piazza with traditional stone paving and improved pedestrian and vehicular pathways, scheduled to begin around October 2026 pending approvals.

The second phase involves restoring the tree-lined streets of Tito Speri and San Marco, damaged by past urban interventions, by replacing century-old trees with slow-growing species, upgrading sidewalks, signage, lighting, and urban furniture. The €1 million investment emphasizes community engagement and durable solutions, with local officials highlighting the importance of shared planning and public participation.
