Lonato del Garda Unveils Social Report for Solidarity Office 2021-2024

On March 28, 2026, Lonato del Garda’s Social Solidarity Desk celebrated its five-year milestone with the presentation of its Social Report, highlighting key achievements since its inception in 2020. Established to address pandemic-induced needs, the initiative has distributed over 57,000 kg of food to vulnerable families, involving 219 beneficiaries, 11 volunteers, and nine organizations, while recovering more than 72,000 kg of surplus food.

The project, developed in partnership with Brescia-based Maremosso ETS, has expanded through collaborations such as “Re-start: sua eccedenza il Cibo” and “La dispensa sociale,” and has promoted initiatives like “Magazzino Diffuso” to facilitate donations of food, furniture, and clothing. The Social Report emphasizes transparency and impact, with officials underscoring the importance of community networks, volunteer engagement, and sustainability efforts, including regional youth volunteer programs under the “Stazione Futuro” project.
