Lonato is preparing to host the 67th Regional Agricultural, Craft, and Commercial Fair, which will take place from Friday, January 17 to Sunday, January 19, 2025. The event will culminate with the Gran Galà Show, scheduled for Saturday, January 11 at 8:45 PM at the Palazzetto dello Sport, where the program for the three days will be presented, and local citizens who have distinguished themselves throughout 2024 will be honored. The evening will feature special guests Fabrizio Fontana and Giorgio Zanetti. Starting Sunday, January 12, various thematic conferences will take place, including one dedicated to an anthology of Italian literature, while Thursday will focus on topics related to Renewable Energy Communities.
The first day of the fair will coincide with the celebration of Saint Anthony the Abbot, featuring the traditional blessing of animals at 4:00 PM and the opening of food stalls offering typical Veronese dishes. On Saturday, January 18, the fair’s opening ceremony will take place, followed by a “Mayors’ Gymkhana,” while Sunday will be dedicated to “Wines & Flavors at the Fair” with guided tastings, concluding with a concert of W. A. Mozart at the Basilica of San Giovanni Battista. Throughout the event, there will be artistic and cultural exhibitions, making this occasion an important highlight for agricultural events in Lonato.
