Lonato’s Cinema in Rocca Ends with Final Screenings and Summer Events

The third edition of «Cinema in Rocca» will close on Sunday, August 26, organized by the Centro giovanile in collaboration with the Fondazione Ugo da Como and the Comune di Lonato.

A few evenings before it concludes, the experience paired with the suggestive castle has been decidedly positive. Far surpassing last year’s participation, the event, thanks also to good weather conditions, has moved beyond the trial phase, with only one film shifted to Cinema Italia. The film forum has also served to showcase the magnificent fortress of Lonato.

Notably, there was a significant influx of tourists from lakeside campsites. The poster for the final week (tickets: adults 8,000 lire, reduced 5,000 lire) features today and tomorrow, August 19, The Tailor of Panama, on the 24th Almost Famous, and on the 25th and 26th If I Were You. Also on Sunday, August 26, in Piazza Martiri, the first part of Lonato Festival will conclude with the regional finals of the beauty contest «Un’italiana per Miss Mondo».

End-of-summer events

Starting August 31, in collaboration with the Pro loco, the event «Il giardino in piazza» will commence. Also in August, specifically on the evening of the 26th, an end-of-summer celebration will take place at the Centro giovanile. Various local musical groups will perform freely in the square in front of the parish church.
