Lonato’s Organic Festival Showcases Local Organic Products and Biodynamic Agriculture

The first Organic Festival of Lonato will take place on Sunday, May 6th. Organized by the Municipal Administration and specifically the Department of Production Activities, together with the Lombard Association for Organic and Biodynamic Agriculture “La Buona Terra”.

Details of the event

The event—originally scheduled for April 22nd—will not be held in Piazza Martiri della Libertà, which in the afternoon hosted the awards ceremony for the Feralpi Trophy, the traditional cycling race for youth. Instead, it will take place in via Galilei, in the school zone.

The program includes opening of the exhibition of organic products at 10 a.m. and the opportunity for tastings starting at 1 p.m.

Afternoon Program

In the afternoon, there will be an exhibition of rural painting with musical interludes performed by the group «Samadur», inspired by folklore from the agricultural world.

At 6 p.m., the festival will conclude with a toast featuring organic products and a concert by the Città di Lonato musical ensemble.

Goals of the Initiative

Through this initiative, the “La Buona Terra” association, based in Sedena, aims to promote a growing interest in organic production and, more generally, in production techniques with a lower environmental impact.
