Lucky Uistitì Rescued from Illegal Trafficking Joins Natura Viva Park in Bussolengo
A judge has authorized the official inclusion of Fortunato, a primate rescued from illegal wildlife trafficking, into the Natura Viva zoo and European conservation programs. Fortunato was recovered after authorities stopped a car on the highway with him traveling without documents and in poor condition.
Following a lengthy rehabilitation supported by the AAP Rescue Center, Fortunato now lives with his companion Lino, imported from the Netherlands. The zoo has established a dedicated habitat suitable for their arboreal needs, reflecting ongoing efforts to rehabilitate and conserve this small primate species, which is highly targeted by illegal trade.
